To ensure the continued well-being of your pet, Glebe Veterinary Surgery offers a convenient process for requesting repeat prescriptions. Simply call our reception team at 01579 371295 to submit your request. We kindly ask that you provide at least 2 working days' notice to allow our veterinary surgeon to authorize your request.
It's essential to note that we adhere to strict regulations regarding the prescription and monitoring of prescription-only medications for your pet's safety. As part of this process, we are required to re-examine your pet every 3 months. This allows us to assess any changes in their condition, monitor for potential side effects, and address any new health concerns that may arise.
This regular check-up is not only a legal requirement but also a crucial aspect of maintaining your pet's health and ensuring the effectiveness of their medication regimen. Our veterinary team is committed to providing comprehensive care for your pet, and these routine evaluations play a vital role in achieving that goal.
We are unable to dispense flea and worm treatments if we have not examined your pet within the last 12 months. This policy ensures that we have an accurate understanding of your pet's current health status and can prescribe the most appropriate and effective treatment tailored to their needs.

We are also able to offer our clients the option to obtain a written veterinary prescription upon request. This allows you to purchase medications from other pharmacies. The current cost of a written prescription is ￡22.50.
